Test Roundsby ThreadFox Get testers

12 testers. 14 days. One to spare.

Google Play won't let a new personal developer account publish until 12 testers have stayed opted in to a closed test for 14 days. Test Rounds puts you in a round of 14 Android developers who all test each other's apps. You get 13 testers, one more than Google needs, everyone gets a reminder every morning, and anyone who stops is replaced.

$20 per app, once. Full refund on request until your round starts.

How a round runs

  1. Join

Paste your closed test's opt-in link, add the Google account you test with, and pay $20.

  2. Your round fills

When 14 developers have joined, everyone gets the other 13 Google accounts to add to their tester list in Play Console, and their apps' opt-in links.

  3. Fourteen days

Every morning you get the 13 apps to open, about ten minutes, and a check-in. Anyone who misses two days in a row is replaced.

  4. Apply for production

On day 14, apply in Play Console. Google asks about your closed test and what you learned from it; our guide walks through the questions.

Questions

Are the testers real?

Yes. Every tester is an Android developer in the same spot as you, with their own Google account and phone. We never use our own accounts, emulators or bought accounts.

When does my round start?

When 14 developers have joined. Your page shows how many are waiting. Until your round starts you can ask for a full refund there.

What do I have to do?

Add the 13 accounts we send you to your tester list, join the other apps through their opt-in links, then open each app once a day and check in. About ten minutes a day for 14 days.

What if a tester stops?

Your app has 13 testers, one more than the 12 Google needs, so one drop-out doesn't cost you. Anyone who misses two days in a row is replaced and you get the new tester's account to add; a replacement counts from the day they opt in, which is why the spare matters.

Does this guarantee production access?

No. Google decides production access, and it also looks at your app and your answers. Test Rounds gets you the 12 testers for 14 days that Google requires.

Why pay when there are free swaps?

Free swaps fall apart when people stop and you drop below 12 testers. In a round everyone has paid, gets a reminder every morning and checks in, there is one spare tester, and anyone who stops is replaced.
